DAY IN CREATION OPTIONS

In addition to our mission-focused trips, we also offer a variety of ‘Day in Creation’ mini-safari options, allowing you to explore Uganda’s natural beauty firsthand.

From safaris to conservation centers, you’ll have the chance to get up close with the continent’s unique wildlife. The activity you’ll engage in will be decided through a majority vote.

MURCHISON FALLS 2-DAY SAFARI – $1250
Embark on an unforgettable two-day safari as you travel 8 hours north to the renowned Murchison Falls National Park. Here, teams will hike to the top of the majestic falls, enjoy a guided boat tour, and take a game drive across the African savannah. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and even lions. Teams will visit Murchison Falls, cruise along the Nile River, and stay overnight at a safari lodge within the park. The next morning, you’ll embark on an early game drive before heading back to Sozo that afternoon.

Meals are included in the price. The final price is based on teams of five or more, but it may vary for smaller groups.

UGANDA WILDLIFE CONSERVATION AND EDUCATION CENTER – $100
Ever wanted to pet an elephant or feed a giraffe? The Uganda Wildlife Conservation and Education Center (also known as the Entebbe Zoo) offers an incredible opportunity to interact with many of Africa’s fascinating creatures. On this guided behind-the-scenes tour, you’ll learn about the conservation efforts aimed at protecting Uganda’s wildlife and environment. It’s a fun and educational experience where you’ll get close to a wide range of animals.

Prices may vary, but your Sozo guide will provide updated information before the trip. Souvenir shopping is available at the zoo.

BIRTHPLACE OF THE NILE – $200
Explore the historic city of Jinja, Uganda, and take a boat ride to the source of the Nile River, located on the edge of Lake Victoria. This is where the Nile begins its journey, providing water and fertile soil to regions all the way to Egypt. You’ll also learn about the significance of the Nile, from the time of baby Moses to its ongoing importance today.

During your visit to Jinja, you’ll have the opportunity to dine at a local restaurant (not included in the price) and tour the scenic city. Once a hub for business and leisure during British rule, Jinja remains Uganda’s second-largest economy.

Make sure to bring shillings for meals and shopping in the local markets. This is a fantastic day trip to explore nature, history, and the beauty of God’s creation.
